A Foggy Portrait of the Hudson River

There's something so hauntingly beautiful about the fog. Ever since I was a child driving through the ghats between Pune and Mumbai with my grandfather, often times through the fog, I've always been so very captivated by it. To me, it's one of those rare times when the clouds come down to our level and cover everything in an ethereal blanket. The world always seems quieter and calmer. More. beautiful. More haunting. It's fleeting since the sun almost always burns it away.

I captured this image while biking north along the Hudson River late this morning. The fog was stubbornly clinging to the water and just for a short time, the world didn't seem so bad.
